Gabriel Hurier DRIFT

SARDINE is pleased to announce DRIFT, the first solo exhibit by Brooklyn-based artist Gabriel Hurier.  A reception for the artist will be held on Wednesday August 22, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m.

DRIFT is a culmination of many years of travel, research, and collection of information- a figurative body of maps, scraps and sketches describing time apart from the familiar. Line and color are primary in his work.

Gabriel Hurier was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1975.  He studied painting and printmaking at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.  He has participated in numerous group shows in the New York area including Gallery 128 and ATM Gallery, and has also shown in Chicago, San Diego, Cincinnati, Zagreb, and Singapore.  Mr. Hurier lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
