SARDINE is pleased to present Won’t You?’, a solo exhibition by Sun You. The show opens Saturday, Oct 27, 2018, from 6 to 9 pm and will be up through Sunday, December 2, 2018. 

Won’t You? features You’s new tabletop and wall sculptures made for the gallery’s built-in furniture and space. You continually plays with and investigates everyday objects and craft materials to create provisional sculptural tableaus that evoke abstraction, craft traditions, and domestic settings.

Sun You is a Seoul born, New York-based artist. You has exhibited her work in galleries and museums internationally. Exhibition venues include The Anderson Gallery, Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond; Queens Museum, New York; The Korean Cultural Center; New York, Künstlerhaus Schloss Balmoral, Bad Ems; Seoul Arts Center, Seoul; The Suburban, Chicago and The Pit, Glendale, CA. Sun You is currently an artist residence at Sharpe Walentas Studio Program and Hunter College.

SARDINE is located on the ground floor of 286 Stanhope Street between Wyckoff and Irving Avenues in Bushwick, Brooklyn, one block from the Dekalb L train and near the Knickerbocker M.
