Space Oddity: Christopher Dunlap, MaryKate Maher, Alina Tenser

SARDINE is pleased to present Space Oddity, a group show curated by Matthew Mahler. The exhibition will feature recent artwork by Christopher Dunlap, MaryKate Maher, and Alina Tenser. It opens with a reception from 6 to 9pm on Saturday, June 4 and runs through Sunday, June 26, 2016.

From the Curator MM:

“Space Oddity brings together three artists who perceptively navigate the concept of space. Dunlap, Maher and Tenser each subtly lure us in to their creative world by employing a variety of familiar materials and tropes. Not long after our initial experience with their work do we begin to question what drew us in the first place. Each artist challenges us to question our preconceptions of pictorial, physical, and perceptual space in a way that keeps us guessing at every turn, craving more. Space Oddity seeks not to offer conclusion, but rather incite curiosity by challenging us to question what we know or assume we know before replacing those ideas with notions of what can be.”
